ApexDC EVO 5" Frame – Enhanced Dead Cat Geometry for Freestyle and Cinematic FPV

The ApexDC EVO 5-inch frame introduces improvements to the classic 'dead cat' design, optimized for freestyle flying, videography, and mid-range exploration. With its updated geometry, it delivers a perfect balance of performance and handling, making it the ideal choice for both cinematic pilots and FPV enthusiasts.

Unique Arm Geometry

The ApexDC EVO modifies the traditional 'dead cat' frame by aligning the front and rear motors, maintaining the popular compressed-x geometry. This ensures a well-balanced frame with uncompromised flight characteristics, solving the handling issues that occur with classic dead cat designs where the rear motors are brought closer to the body.

Camera Mount and Insulation

The newly redesigned aluminium camera mount comes with 3D-printed insulation inserts, ensuring that your camera is firmly secured while minimizing vibrations. The camera is also electrically isolated from the frame, offering both durability and optimal image stability during flight.

Custom GoPro Mounting

The ApexDC EVO includes a custom-designed GoPro mount and bolt, perfect for FPV. The mount allows for quick and easy angle adjustments during flight, and the lightweight aluminium bolt saves weight while improving durability. You can now quickly change your GoPro angle using standard FPV tools.

HD Video System Isolation

To prevent grounding issues, the ApexDC EVO frame includes die-cut mylar insulators and non-conductive POM 'cone rivets'. This isolates your HD video system and mounting hardware from the frame, reducing the risk of electrical failures during flight, while adding only 0.5g of extra weight.

Antenna Mounting and Extras

Each kit includes a 3D-printed antenna mount compatible with HD video systems or similar antennas. The Mr Steele version of the kit also includes an additional mount for the Tracer Immortal-T antenna, giving you more flexibility for different setups.
